Switching from HowLongToBeat
Your HowLongToBeat lists can come along: Playing, Backlog, Completed, Retired and the days you wrote down.
You’ll sign in first. Then open your account menu and pick Import a file.
Get your file
- Sign in to HowLongToBeat and open your game list.
- Export the list as a CSV file.
- Keep the file it saves, named like HLTB_Games_2026-10-07.csv.
How statuses come over
Gamanac has its own set of statuses. Here’s what each of yours becomes.
| On HowLongToBeat | In Gamanac |
|---|---|
| Playing | Playing |
| Completed | Finished |
| Replay | Finished |
| Retired | Dropped |
| Backlog | Backlog |
What else comes over
Your review score, out of 100, becomes 1 to 10; the platform, with Steam games kept apart from other PC games; the days you started, finished and added each game.
What stays behind
Your times, notes and custom tabs.
Time you logged there stays there. Gamanac counts time from sessions on the days you played, so a total without days would skew your weeks.
Finding your games
Gamanac matches your games by title, with the platform and year when the file has them.
Anything unsure waits for you to check. A game the catalogue lacks comes in as your own game, which only you see. You look everything over before it’s saved.
Ready
Pick the file, look over the games, and they’re in your library.
Games already in your Gamanac library keep what you set here. The file only fills in what they lack.
HowLongToBeat belongs to its makers. Gamanac isn’t affiliated with it, and the names here only say where your file comes from.
