Switching from Infinite Backlog
Your Infinite Backlog collection can come along: what you played, how far you got and your ratings.
You’ll sign in first. Then open your account menu and pick Import a file.
Get your file
- In Infinite Backlog, export your collection as CSV.
- You get two files: your collection and your wishlist.
- Import the collection first, then the wishlist. Its games land on your Gamanac wishlist.
How statuses come over
Gamanac has its own set of statuses. Here’s what each of yours becomes.
| On Infinite Backlog | In Gamanac |
|---|---|
| Playing | Playing |
| Beaten | Finished |
| Completed | 100% |
| Played, unfinished | Paused |
| Dropped | Dropped |
| Unplayed | Backlog |
| Continuous | Endless |
| Wishlist | Wishlist |
What else comes over
Your score from 1 to 10, the platform, the day you finished and the day you added each game.
What stays behind
Playtime, notes, tags, ownership details and the ratings beyond your score.
Time you logged there stays there. Gamanac counts time from sessions on the days you played, so a total without days would skew your weeks.
Finding your games
Infinite Backlog uses the same game database as Gamanac, IGDB, so most games match exactly.
Anything unsure waits for you to check. A game the catalogue lacks comes in as your own game, which only you see. You look everything over before it’s saved.
Ready
Pick the file, look over the games, and they’re in your library.
Games already in your Gamanac library keep what you set here. The file only fills in what they lack.
Infinite Backlog belongs to its makers. Gamanac isn’t affiliated with it, and the names here only say where your file comes from.
